General Info

If you’re exploring cafes around Simi Valley, The Baker's Daughters is one spot that genuinely feels worth your time. From the moment I walked in, the space had that cozy, neighborhood café vibe-casual, welcoming, and easy to settle into whether you're stopping by for brunch or a relaxed lunch.

The menu leans into comforting, well-crafted classics with a slightly elevated twist. One standout that immediately caught my attention was the Green Eggs & Prosciutto Tartine. It’s beautifully put together, with rich flavors that balance freshness and indulgence in every bite. If you’re more in the mood for something familiar, the Turkey B L T is a safe but satisfying choice-layered, hearty, and perfect for a midday meal.

What I appreciated most is how the café keeps things simple yet intentional. Their sourdough loaf, for example, isn’t just a side-it’s clearly a staple. You can taste the care in the texture and flavor, making it a great addition whether you're dining in or grabbing something to take home. And if you have a sweet tooth, the chocolate chip cookie is hard to skip. It’s soft, slightly gooey, and hits that nostalgic comfort note perfectly.

Service-wise, the experience feels smooth and accommodating. The café covers all the essentials-brunch, lunch, and dessert-making it a flexible option no matter the time of day. I also noticed that parking is convenient, which is always a plus in busier areas. It makes the whole visit feel a lot more relaxed, especially if you’re planning to linger a bit.

In terms of overall experience, this place strikes a nice balance between quality and approachability. The menu is easy to navigate, the location is accessible, and the atmosphere encourages you to slow down and enjoy your meal. Based on my visit, it’s the kind of café that locals would return to regularly, not just for the food but for the comfortable, familiar feeling it offers.

“ delicious food and bread and coffee! we had a big group and everyone loved their orders. avocado toast was excellent. nice orange yolk eggs. Brazilian bakery with great sourdough loves, some pastries and cookies. ”

- Amy Buchen Camarillo -

“ So many things I want to try out at this place. First of all the customer service and the experience was great and the place was packed with lots of people enjoying their food. I love to see all of the sourdough loves just sitting on the racks ready to get purchased. I also asked how long they have had their starter and they said they have brought in from Europe and it is over 150 years old. That is impressive because not everyone can keep a starter alive and you can taste the quality of the starter in their foods. We ended up getting some chocolate chip cookies and banana bread and an espresso. Next time I'm definitely getting a sandwich. ”

“ The Baker's Daughters is a new establishment that just opened up recently. I believe a Chinese restaurant was what once occupied the space before, but now it has completely transformed to something quite extraordinary. It's a bakery. It's a coffee shop. It's a tea house. It's a sandwich shop. It's a gathering place. One thing is for sure, the food and drinks are exemplary. The lavender latte is a cut above the normal fare. The olive oil latte is an odd combination but amazingly satisfying. The Brazilian matte is great for hot days with its sweet zing of refreshing crisp flavor. The secret egg sandwich was to die for. The croque monsieur or madame if you prefer an egg on top is a revelation to eat and behold. The space is nice, open, and inviting. You have a clear view of everything that transpires before your very eyes. They change the pastries daily, so it's worth stopping in on more than one day. You won't regret trying it out. These Daughters are top-notch, and they are off to a great start. ”

“ Very friendly staff and the inside is a clean aesthetic. The secret egg sandwich was so flavorful. I got the Croque madame which tasted great but I wasn’t a fan of the texture of the ham. It was diced very small which gave it too soft of a texture for me. Their matcha latte with lavender syrup was pretty good, and next time I want to try it with the rose syrup. Overall a great spot, but a little pricey. Was $43 for two people. I’d come here again and definitely want to try the tartine, it looked incredible ”

“ If I want to have a great start to my day this is where I’m going first thing in the morning. The staff are all incredibly friendly and the aesthetic is beautiful. The Brazilian influence on the food and drinks has been so fun to try. My favorites have been the olive oil vanilla latte, pizza pane breakfast sandwiches, and the polpettone (meatball) sandwich. I’ve brought the bread and pastries to family get togethers and it always disappears so fast, especially the cheese bread! ”

“ I had breakfast here, and luckily came when it wasn't too busy. Food is fantastic, coffee is excellent as well. Fresh baked goods! ”

“ Had the TBLT sandwich and cold brew coffee for lunch. It was very busy but food and coffee was delivered quickly. Purchased a sourdough loaf for home. Very tasty sandwich and beautiful bread. ”
